Musee des beaux-arts de MontrealFounded in 1860, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts was one of the first museums in North America to amass an encyclopedic collection of art. Its holdings have grown to almost 35,000 objects – paintings, sculptures, works on paper, prints and drawings, photographs and decorative art objects – from antiquity to today.
